We have available the download of App Discord for PC and other devices. We explain to you how to download this free App Discord in this article. This app described in Apps4u is tested from Play Store, AppStore and direct download.

Discord was created with the main objective of “bringing together all gamers around the world”. It works like a good chat program, in which we can include our friends and communicate with them by microphone. There was a very similar program with the name “Slack”, if you have already tried it you can have a better idea of how this works.

What is it used for?

Normally, Discord is used as a background application or program to communicate with your friends in online games, given its convenience, and simplicity of use. Although this is not always the case, there are people who use Discord simply because they want to meet new people in a community or talk to acquaintances.

Both cases have something in common; they communicate through servers created and based on a theme. Discord’s servers (or groups) can be of literally any topic: Video games, politics, television, movies, etc. And it’s very similar to other messaging applications, such as the formerly popular “Skype”.
Although Discord is commonly known as a program, it can be used from any browser without the need to register or install anything. This greatly favors accessibility to new users who do not know about this platform.

Highlighted Features

As mentioned above, Discord works on the basis of servers (or groups) that we can join or create. Each server is composed with its own voice or text channels, administrators, rules, and of course, people.
These voice or text channels function as small spaces where people within the server can join. Usually, these channels are ramifications of the server’s main topic.
For instance. Server Name: “Movies” – Channels: “Horror Movies”, “Action Movies”, “Drama Movies”, and so on.
(Remember that this may vary depending on the decision of the server administrators.)

You can mark a channel as “Not Safe For Work” (NSFW) if it’s to be used for sharing adult content. This way, Discord will ask for an age verification and will warn users who want to join it, to avoid misunderstandings.
Discord stands out because of its bots system. These bots can be used to do tasks for us, like supervising that users comply with server rules, organizing draws or playing some mini-games like chess. When creating a bot, you can assign it any name you want.
You can link Discord with video game platforms such as Steam, Epic Games, Origins, etc., and run the games you have purchased from the same application. Discord also allows us to share our screen with the members of the server, in case you want to show them something.
Last but not least, you will be able to set up group video conferences for any purpose.

How to create a Discord server

Fortunately, creating a Discord server has no limits, and it’s 100% free. To create a Discord group (or server) to share with our friends or the world, all we have to do is press the button with the “+” icon that appears at the bottom of the left column.
A small window will open, and there press “Create a Server”. Then, assign a name to it. This is optional, but you can choose a 128×128 pixel photo and add it as the main server photo, to give it more personality. Once we have decided, touch the “Create” button at the bottom right of the window.
And that’s it! It’s that simple. You already have your Discord server, however, you still have to invite your friends. To do this, find any text or voice channel in the left panel and tap on the “Create Instant Invite” icon.
You will get a temporary invitation link in a small window. Copy it and share it with the people you want to add. As we mentioned before, they will not need an account to access on this platform, and they can use their browser to join.
